Rice to Rocks - 1

The Rocks to Rice series is inspired by patterns and textures of Yilan's landscape. This series explores the uniting of opposing elements of the land and sea in Yilan, specifically the rock formations at Touchen Beiguan Tidal Park and the movement of the golden rice fields ready for the harvest. The rock patterns reminded me of a pillowly checkerboard. The rice fields move so dynamically in the wind, but the different colors and sounds will forever have a place in my heart and memory.
